Created by Philip Kenner and Matt Meyers, SNAP CRACKLE PROP is an interactive radio play about children’s cereal, sound effects, and the crunchy caves of our imagination. SNAP CRACKLE PROP will give you a chance to step into the shoes of a Foley artist, where you will create sound effects for children’s cereal commercials using the objects in your own home. You will meet Jason: a voice actor who can get a little lost in the work. If you’re looking for a laugh and an auditory obstacle course, SNAP CRACKLE PROP will delight you.
TECH INTERFACE: phone call, headphones recommended. You will need to gather some props. Don’t worry, they are already in your home.
PHILIP KENNER (he/him) is an NYC-based writer, performer, musician, educator, and administrator. His plays throw us into the mud of our collective shame so that we can have a good, filthy laugh. He is the writer of The Sun Club, Everything About This Is Gross, Ravenous, and PSYCHOTROPIC. You can check out his poetry in bookstore poets, vol. 1 from Book Culture or on his website. He works at the Sundance Institute as a Program Administrator and editor, and he is on the literary team at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater as an event coordinator and reader. MATT MEYERS (he/him) is a DC-based theatre artist and producer. He has worked with many companies in the DMV area, most of all La Ti Do Productions, where he served as Associate Artistic Director until December 2019, and with Post Shift Theatre, where he is Operations and Managing Director. Matt has a deep passion for new works, hospitality, ghost stories, Marvel movies, and podcasts.
